About the Imprint
Mindful Machines Press is a publishing imprint for books, quarterly briefs, essay series, articles, whitepapers, and resources for new writers, published under the name Viveka Mohan Das. Everything on this site is written and edited under that one name.
The subject, across every section, is how people think alongside machines - mental health, AI governance, and the history of the field. The register is premium and literary rather than academic or hype-driven: a small press, not a technology consultancy.
This imprint exists to explore, freely and without a commercial brief, where psychology, AI and trustworthy systems intersect. The starting point is usually a gap: a claim made without much evidence behind it, a system trusted before it has earned that trust, a question the existing research hasn't quite asked yet. The aim here is to find gaps like that and fill them with real, evidence-backed research, rather than start from a conclusion and look for support afterward.
That approach draws on a background split across both sides of it: a psychology degree, and twenty-plus years in communications, marketing and brand strategy, spent studying how people, and increasingly machines, decide what to trust.
